SUMMARY:Forum on Grid Edge Security
DESCRIPTION:You’re Invited “FORUM ON GRID EDGE SECURITY”\nUNC at Charlotte\, NC – Main Campus\nSeptember 9\, 2024\n  \n\nMeet “CESAR” UNC Charlotte Edge Grid Test Center \n\n  \nThe Center for Energy Security And Reliability (CESAR)\nCESAR\, led by UNC Charlotte (in collaboration with NC State University and NC A&T State University)\, is aimed at enhancing the cybersecurity and resilience of the power grid as it transitions to a carbon-neutral system by 2050. The project addresses the increasing reliance on distributed energy generation/resources (DERs) such as solar panels\, wind turbines\, and batteries\, which are expected to account for nearly 50% of all energy generation by 2050. These resources and the associated sensors necessary to manage such a system\, connected to the grid via the internet\, introduce and expose new vulnerabilities\, creating an unprecedented cyberattack surface with significant national security implications.\n  \n\nREGISTER TO ATTEND \n\n  \n\nSave the Date – Download Invitation Details
