After careful consideration and deliberation and listening to feedback from our clients, we have made the strategic decision to postpone our annual manufacturing conference, MFGCON 21. For the last six years, the conference has been an influential networking and knowledge-sharing event but our priority is the health and safety of potential attendees, exhibitors, sponsors and speakers. We want to hold the conference at a time where hopefully the chances of COVID-19 transmission are reduced. The new dates are March 24-25, 2022.
Although we are postponing MFGCON this year, NCMEP has several free upcoming virtual events. The “MNC Network and Community Forum—Developing an Integrated Talent Strategy To Support Your Changing Business Landscape” will be held on October 21 at 1 p.m.
The “What is CUI? Understanding and Protecting Data for DoD Contractors” webinar on November 9 at 1 p.m. is a short 30-minute introduction to Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and its role as an asset in your company’s cybersecurity planning.

Together, we work for a common goal of providing solutions and services that help our clients save time and energy, improve productivity, increase sales, improve profits and create and retain jobs. NCMEP is the official representative of the MEP National Network ™, a unique public-private partnership that delivers comprehensive, proven solutions to U.S. manufacturers, and NIST MEP in North Carolina.
In February 2018, the North Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NCMEP) reported a video success story about Jordan Schindler, an up-and-coming entrepreneur who founded TexDel, a textile-based drug delivery company in 2011.
On the September 1, 2021 episode of Business North Carolina’s Weekly Round-Up podcast, Business North Carolina caught up with Schindler and Nufabrx (formerly TexDel). Since the NCMEP video success story, the organization has branched out exponentially, and now the Conover-based company was ranked the 50th fastest-growing company in the U.S. by Inc. magazine.
