Ben Norman is the Director of Training, Industry & Trades at Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC), where he leads efforts to align workforce education with the evolving needs of North Carolina’s manufacturing sector. He works directly with regional manufacturers to design customized and short-term training solutions supporting advanced manufacturing, industrial maintenance, automation, and skilled trades. Ben is focused on closing skills gaps, strengthening talent pipelines, and delivering hands-on, industry-driven training that connects education to the shop floor. A proud North Carolinian and Appalachian State University graduate, Ben is deeply committed to serving his community and supporting the economic vitality of the state. He is also a devoted husband and father of two.
