BLNC business counselors help callers with information about registering a business with the state, business and occupational licenses, tax requirements, government contracting, business plans, tax information to marketing and access to capital.

An entrepreneurial hub in Research Triangle Park (RTP) that offers office space, event space, workshops, and a variety of networking opportunities for small business entrepreneurs. Close to the airport, large firms in the RTP, and research institutions in the triangle area.

American Underground |

An innovation and entrepreneurship hub in Durham in the heart of the American Tobacco Campus, a repurposed warehouse district that has housing, office space, and retail/food destinations nearby. AU offers office space, event space, workshops, and a variety of networking opportunities for entrepreneurs, and is in close proximity to several leading research institutions in the state.

HQ Community (Raleigh and Greensboro) |

Locations in Raleigh and Greensboro with collaborative office space and a plethora of events hosted regularly, geared toward entrepreneurs and start-ups. Have also formed partnerships with similar facilities in Wilmington ( and Charlotte ( to support a statewide entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The Rural Center works with individuals trying to start or expand a small business by connecting them to the critical capital, coaching, and connections they need.

Research Triangle Nanotechnology Network |

The Research Triangle Nanotechnology Network offers access to nanotechnology facilities in the Research Triangle area for researchers, and includes education, workforce training, and outreach programs designed to train the next generation of scientists, engineers, and technicians. The RTNN not only serves as a portal to physical resources in the Research Triangle, but also intellectual resources by leveraging the expertise of over 100 principal faculty and over 45 technical staff members.

Technology Incubator / Prototyping Facilities – First Flight Venture Center |

First Flight Venture Center™ is North Carolina’s original science, technology, and business incubator. Located in the heart of the Research Triangle Park, they support the launch of bioscience, life science, medical device, and information technology companies by providing the tailored resources, guidance, and connections required for sustained commercial success. They are home to Hangar 6, a fabrication lab that is open to any size business, but catered to small and startup businesses. Hangar 6 includes a wide array of fabrication machinery and tools from 3d printers (polymers), CNC, lathes, drill presses, painting booth, welding, and more.

Thomas Entrepreneurship Hub |

An innovation and entrepreneurial center serving southeastern NC (located in Pembroke). The Thomas Hub includes an idea lab, workshops for small business owners and entrepreneurs, office spaces for rent, meeting facilities, a prototyping lab, and consulting / mentoring opportunities.
