Casey Olson is an Engineering Improvement Specialist with North Carolina State University Industry Extension Services (IES). Casey has previously worked in industry as a Process Industrial Engineer and has a background in process improvement and project management. In her position with the Process Optimization team Casey brings her skills and perspective in areas such as: CAD modeling, Lean Six Sigma, Analyzing Supply Chains, Manufacturing Process, Automated Manufacturing, Simulation and Quality Control. Casey has a B.S. in industrial and systems engineering degree from NC State University. She also has completed OSHA 2255: Principles of Ergonomics, Lean 200: Applying the Fundamentals, Lean 300: Facilitating Continuous Improvement Activities and Training Within Industry: Job Instruction Training. In her free time, Casey enjoys hiking, traveling, and trying new things. She is based in the Raleigh, NC area and helps to advance IES’s extension and outreach mission/vision across the state through her work in all hundred counties.
