Lunch + Learn: Cybersecurity Awareness and CMMC Compliance

March 21, 2025 @ 11:30 am - 1:30 pm
$20
Cybersecurity Lunch and Learn

Manufacturers are a key part of the North Carolina economy and should be aware of the growing cyber-attack threat. A single cyber breach can cause loss of confidential data, disruption of production, revenue loss, impact of up and downstream partners, and even put a company out of business. In this lunch & learn, we will discuss the current threats, how to create a culture of cybersecurity, and some basic defense tactics you can implement today.

Manufacturers operating in the DoD supply chain are responsible for safeguarding data, especially Federal Contract Information (FCI) and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). A new requirement for all DoD contractors went into effect in 2025, CMMC. The mandate has been in the works for years and is designed to ensure that all companies working in the DoD supply chain have adequate cybersecurity controls to defend against cyber attacks.

With an estimated 200,000 companies currently in the Defense Industrial Base (DIB), this change will seriously impact businesses of all sizes. Begin the journey towards compliance today instead of delaying and potentially losing DoD work due to non-compliance. In this Lunch & Learn, you will hear about the CMMC program, requirements for manufacturers, how to get started with compliance and more.
