Navigating Supply Chain Challenges Webinar

September 27, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Free

What challenges does supply chain management face today? How can they be overcome? Supply chains are complex networks of suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, retailers, customers, and other stakeholders who collaborate to deliver goods or services from raw materials to consumers. The complexity of these systems makes them prone to disruptions, such as natural disasters, cyber-attacks, labor strikes, and regulatory changes. Join NC State University Industry Extension Services (IES) on September 27th at 11:00 a.m. for the Navigating Supply Chain Challenges webinar where Rob Handfield will share knowledge about how manufacturers can navigate current supply chain challenges.

Professor Rob Handfield, the Bank of America University Distinguished Professor of Supply Chain Management at North Carolina State University and director of the Supply Chain Resource Cooperative, will give a presentation on the current state of the supply chain. Hanfield also serves as an adjunct professor with the Supply Chain Management Research Group at the Manchester Business School. Handfield is the consulting editor of the Journal of Operations Management, one of the leading supply chain management journals in the field, and is the author of several books on supply chain management. Handfield was identified as one of a handful of individuals in the 2007 “Pros to Know” list compiled by the Supply and Demand Chain Executive journal. Handfield is considered a thought leader in the field of supply chain management and is an industry expert in the field of strategic sourcing, supply market intelligence, and supplier development.

This webinar will cover:

  • Why are there so many supply chain disruptions?
  • And when will they end?
  • Tips for manufacturers to navigate the supply chain challenge.
