PMP Exam Prep Workshop

July 23, 2021 - July 31, 2021
$1500

“Research indicates that employers will need to fill nearly 2.2 million new project-oriented roles each year through 2027. This means skilled project managers are in high demand.”

Project Management Institute (PMI) Certifications are recognized worldwide. This workshop will prepare participants to sit for the Project Management Professional (PMP) Exam or the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) Certification Exam. It is not intended to teach you how to be a project manager since you need some project management experience or education before you apply to sit for the exam. The format of the workshop will be a hybrid of primarily face-to-face instruction and instructor-led virtual portions.

The workshop will cover the topics outlined in each of the three Domains (People, Process and Business Environment) being covered in the exam released in January 2021. This will include crucial project management concepts and formulas. Tips and techniques will be provided on how to be successful when sitting for the exam. Practice exam questions will be used to help participants familiarize themselves with the question formats. Finally, a customized study plan will be developed for participants to guide them to exam day

Why do you need it: The CAPM and PMP certifications can increase your professional credibility and are recognized internationally. The CIO journal lists the CAPM and PMP as one of the top project management certifications for 2020  (Florentine, 2019). www.PMI.org indicates the earning power of a project manager is greater with the certification; the median salary for PMPs is 25% higher than those without it.

Who should take it: For the PMP – those who have a 4-year degree and 3 years experience leading projects. For the CAPM – those who have a high school diploma and 23 contact hours of formal education.

What can you expect: The workshop instructor will lecture using selected resources that will be provided to participants who will need to read them. Participants will also participate in exercises and take practice exams. Time will be included to allow participants to ask questions.
