With two days, nineteen sessions, four keynotes, fifteen sponsors and countless ideas on innovation, efficiency, emerging issues, expansion, and workforce & culture, mfgCON 2016 was not an event to be missed. With everything going on, though, it was impossible to catch all of the sessions; here are the presenters’ PowerPoints, if you are interested in learning more about a specific topic. (These PowerPoints are available only to mfgCON 2016 registrants.)
NC Secretary of Commerce John E. Skvarla, III presented the Leadership in Manufacturing Awards to five organizations that demonstrated best-in-class practices and outstandings results in their categories. The winners for each category were:
- Overall Excellence: Sierra Nevada, Mills River
- Developing Markets: Associated Hardwoods, Granite Falls
- Continuous Improvement: Flex, Morrisville
- Workforce: Service Thread, Laurinburg
- Sustainability: The Bark House at Highland Craftsmen Inc., Spruce Pine
The winners had a cameo in our recap video–did you? Watch to see if you made an appearance!
We had another winner, too–Kevin Coley of Technimark had his name drawn to win a free registration to mfgCON 2017, worth $395. Congratulations to him!
We’ll announce the location of next year’s conference around the first of the year, so stay tuned.
