RuralWorks! Engineering Summer Internship Program Webinar

January 11, 2023 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am
Free

RuralWorks! Engineering Summer Internship Program – $10/hr sponsored talent is waiting for manufacturers to hire.

This webinar is for manufacturers in rural communities, HR Managers, Engineering Managers, Plant Management

Presented by Anna Mangum, Regional Manager, NC State University Industry Extension Services (IES)

IES is working with manufacturers across the state to create summer internship opportunities for NC State engineering student talent.  With the support of the Dean of the College of Engineering and the Career Development center, we are able to sponsor student talent to work in rural areas for $10/hr through a program called Rural Works.

Manufacturers are using this program to the benefit of their short-term and long-term talent pipeline challenges.  Some HR Managers are seeing these internships as 3-month long interviews, others are allowing their staff engineers to delegated project managers for minimal financial commitment. Our students from all engineering majors are being recruited NOW and performing above and beyond for IES clients.

Join the webinar to gain insight into the program, your eligibility and how to take the next steps.
