Darran Furniture has never stopped fighting the good fight. When North Carolina’s furniture industry first began slipping in the early 1990s, the High Point manufacturer dug in its heels; declaring that its jobs would stay right where they were. The company has adapted to the changing market by offering new products for the modern office, like furniture designed for co-working, open collaboration spaces, and home offices. Darran has held firm to its commitment to keep business local, too— forty percent of its materials are sourced from North Carolina, and most of the rest from neighboring states.
