The North Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NCMEP), the official representative of the MEP National Network™ and NIST MEP in North Carolina, today celebrates the 30th anniversary of the MEP National Network.
Since 1988, MEP centers in all 50 states and Puerto Rico have worked with 94,033 manufacturers, leading to $111.3 billion in sales, $18.8 billion in cost savings, helping to create and retain 985,317 jobs as reported by the clients they have served.
Members from NCMEP are attending the MEP 30th Anniversary Commemoration Event at the National Academy of Sciences building, in Washington, DC. The goal of the event is to laud 30 years of MEP achievements and to hear leaders from NIST, MEP Centers and MEP clients talk about the important role the Program has played in advancing U.S. manufacturing over the past three decades.
