On May 19, we wrapped up the annual North Carolina Manufacturing Conference which we affectionately call MFGCON. After two and a half years of pandemic planning, our state’s manufacturing community was finally able to see and share each other’s best practices, performance successes, and exemplary industry support services.
Keynote manufacturing company leaders Geoff Foster of Core Technology Molding Corporation and Mark Beck of B Square Precision Group truly reminded us of what we have been missing as they shared inspiring presentations on effective business leadership, workforce commitment, and responsible stewardship of the industry’s most vital to our NC economy. The energy of the day 1 kick-off carried throughout the breakout sessions and surrounded the exhibit hall culminating with a final celebration luncheon on day 2 to honor our 2022 NCMEP Leadership Award winners. The pandemic may have disrupted the schedule for a couple of years, but I am hearing from the attendees that our latest gathering was “well worth the wait.” If you were there, please let us know what you thought and give us your ideas on what would make it even better next year. If you missed it, review the agenda and feel a little sorry for yourself. However, don’t hold on to that too long for we will be publishing next year’s event real soon!
