NCMEP Appoints Hoeg as Interim Director

RALEIGH, NC. – Phillip Mintz, Executive Director of NC State University’s Industry Extension Services (IES) has announced the appointment of KeAnne Hoeg, Director of Data Management Systems, Supplier Matching and Reporting, as the interim director of North Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NCMEP) effective December 9, 2025. Hoeg will succeed Mintz in the role.

“KeAnne will serve NCMEP very well as she has been excellent in fostering relationships throughout the MEP National Network. She has also been a leader for many years in our efforts to educate the NC Congressional Delegation in Washington about our program, which has helped so many smaller manufacturers throughout the state. If you asked her, she could probably name almost every one of them,” said Mintz.

Hoeg has served NCMEP in a variety of roles since 2000. She has most recently been responsible for overseeing the program’s data collection, analysis and reporting to a variety of stakeholders and managing the supplier matching program, including the Manufactured in North Carolina online supplier database. Her analytical approach has been pivotal in identifying emerging industry trends, allowing NCMEP to evolve its strategies and proactively address the changing needs of the manufacturing sector.

“Having been part of NCMEP for over two decades, I have seen firsthand the resilience and innovation of our state’s manufacturers,” said Hoeg. “I’m incredibly honored to step into this role to continue our legacy of service, ensuring that every program and initiative we run is directly fueling the growth of the manufacturers and state we serve.”

Hoeg is a graduate of Meredith College (BA in English) and UNC Chapel Hill (MS in Library Science). She also completed requirements as a participant of the national MEP Tab Wilkins Emerging Leaders Program Class 1.12 in 2021.
